Recently I have seen a trend in sugar pearl accents on cakes. I also recently found out about a tool that is made in the UK called the press ice. The press ice tool is used for making swiss dots with royal icing which I have yet to try. My royal icing skills are still kind of sketch (sadface). Anyway I ordered the press ice tool from the Amazon dot com and was super excited to use it when it came in the mail! I had ambitions to make a four tier display cake but ran out of weekend time. The below pictures were my creation with sugar pearls and the press ice. The flower was a pre made sugar flower that I bought at a local cake supply shop. There is also a youtube link with me rambling about what I am going to create...my big plans to make a SUPERHUGE cake and then those plans completely changing. It has a more visual aspect on how the press ice tool works also.
